There are billions of gazebos closed and inactive since March 2020 in company warehouses, so think about new structures that will then be scrapped. Protests and advice from companies in the sector
In the press release issued by the FEU association, a united events chain, the project of vaccination centers in Italian squares in primrose-shaped structures elaborated by Commissioner Domenico Arcuri is dismantled piece by piece. After the wheeled benches, that of the gazebos in the shape of primroses seems to be another useless project. THE COMMUNICATE OF FEU
FEU, a united events chain, the new association for the protection of the entire events sector, rejects the vaccination centers in the Italian squares in the shape of a primrose.
The latest release by the emergency commissioner Domenico Arcuri, who launched the romantic project “Italy is reborn with a flower”, beneficially signed by the star architect Stefano Boeri, horrifies the FEU members and beyond.
“A massacre. There are billions of gazebos closed and stopped from March 2020 in the warehouses of companies and they
ask that new structures be built, with public money, which will then be thrown away, at exorbitant costs with the design of a primrose, a sign of rebirth, at a time when they can’t even give fair refreshments to all people. Thus continuing to keep our companies immobile and to kill 570,000 workers “.
The alarm was raised by Adriano Ceccotti, president of FEU, the 35-day association that asks the government for equal support without distinction of Ateco codes, now focused on creating technical protocols for an effective restart, which has within it over 900 members, 1700 companies present on the groups and over 4400 on Facebook, beat their fists on the table to be heard, because this initiative seems really crazy.
“In FEU we are divided into categories and among them we have tensile structures companies, there are 75, which with their material that have closed in their warehouses could cover at least 1,500,000 square meters and which have absolutely not been taken into consideration for this initiative” .
So not only without relief from the beginning of the pandemic but also deceived by absurd initiatives. We remind you that the entire events sector, and we are talking about 2.5% of the national GDP, that is about 65 billion euros per year, has not received refreshments because they are considered invisible by the Ateco codes and that now that they could be called to restart their companies instead continue to remain invisible to the government.
Not only tensile structures but the Arcuri project requires panels, partitions, doors, platforms, flooring, electrical systems, interior fittings, security services … all professionals that are part of the events chain – and which have been in lockdown since March. And they continue to be.
Too many things to understand about this initiative: where will these structures end up?
How much they will cost
“In our opinion – explains Juri Bricherasio, referent of the tensile structures and gazebos category for FEU – being a customized project, each primrose will cost between 70,000 and 100,000 euros”.
And on balance, having declared Arcuri that “at the beginning there will be 300 points of administration and then get to 1500 gazebos in the maximum phase”, the cost for Italians will be 150,000,000 euros to get vaccinated under a primrose. All without knowing for sure even if the vaccines booked from Italy will arrive on the scheduled dates.
Seriousness continues to be put aside by the cast of the Government which instead thinks of making communication fun. There are millions of Italians who to date have not even managed to get vaccinated for the flu and here we think of the very luxurious primroses.
However, the extraordinary Commissioner explains that “many companies will carry out this function pro bono, as did the architect Boeri”. Bricherasio continues, “But none of our companies to date has been called either for a quote, or to participate in a tender, nor to ‘give the fruit of their ingenuity’ – using Arcuri’s words – so that Italians can get vaccinated “.
And we conclude by asking ourselves: “Why don’t they spend this money on hospitals and use much less of it to rent existing materials instead.
Why can’t they give us fair support and then they have the money for these initiatives
. Why do we feel so cheated
.” The primrose for vaccines seems to follow the trail of the benches on wheels: useless. Italy deserves more.
