Which is the best city to live in Italy
Well, we asked you … through a survey that compared various parameters: Services / Environment / Health, Population, Public Order, Leisure and Leisure, Tenor of Life, Business and Work. We sent a survey to a sample of 20,000 users of the Travel365 community , inviting them to express their preferences, assigning a vote out of tenths for each of the 6 thematic areas.
By creating an average of the results and then emerged a top 10 of the most livable cities in the beautiful country, within which sadly no city in southern Italy appears … Let’s find out which are, in your opinion, the best cities to live!

10 – Rome, Lazio
Surprisingly: the eternal city. Excellent result considering the thousand defects that characterize Rome. First of all, traffic and problems with public transport , but also smog, strikes, lack of parking, potholes and noise and environmental pollution. In short, let’s face it, being present in the top 10 is already a half miracle . Rome is saved because it is a great metropolis, all in all there is no shortage of job opportunities and in terms of leisure and entertainment it is second to none.

9 – Florence, Tuscany
The city of art par excellence and only tenth in this ranking, a position of all respect. The Cradle of the Renaissance is a city that the world envies us for its beauty, uniqueness and landscape profile. It is undoubtedly a lively, current and sparkling city but this is not enough to be able to rise more in this ranking. Managing such a considerable tourist influx practically every day of the year and from all over the world is not easy and preserving the incredible and priceless artistic heritage is difficult and expensive, so this well deserved 10th place does not represent a defeat at all. From here on you can only improve!

In any case, not bad for a city that is certainly not a metropolis, but a pretty town with a beautiful historic center and excellent services .

Photo by Matteo Ianeselli. Tell the truth: you expected to find it much higher in the rankings. Instead the beautiful Trento is only 6th. It is undoubtedly a city that has a lot to offer. Perfect for those who love the mountains and winter sports , its university is considered the second best in the state for its attractiveness to non-resident students. Furthermore, Trento is a city rich in art and traditions .
Undoubtedly there is no shortage of services, but obviously it needs to improve in other respects. Arriving 6th is still a great satisfaction.

We get on the podium and in third place we find Turin. Esoteric and mysterious city, but definitely efficient in services. Dynamic on a cultural level, its beauty is in the details. It is the seat of the renowned Polytechnic, but it can also offer a lot of entertainment. There are numerous historical places and chocolate shops where you can indulge in very pleasant moments of sweetness.

In Turin you live very well, despite the high rates of air pollution that famously characterize it .

2 – Milan, Lombardy
In the voice “Tenore di Vita” the Milanese capital wins over all. Thanks to Expo Milano it managed to rise compared to the rankings of a few years ago. Excellent results for a perpetually busy city. As everyone knows (and it is not just a stereotype) life flows here hectic, often too much, but Milan really offers a lot : services, entertainment of all kinds, luxurious shops within everyone’s reach, concerts, exhibitions, events, art, libraries, parks, culture.
It becomes even more “business & fashion” during the Fashion Week, which with all its events brings great winds of news but also excellent turnover. A decidedly rich city,. An intercultural financial center rich in art which is also an excellent city and which can truly offer you everything, except the sea (as the Milanese themselves often underline).

1 – Bologna, Emilia Romagna
It is the city where you live best! Bologna has also been called the most hi-tech city. The Emilian capital stood out for its management capacity, for the usability of its services and for its digital infrastructures .
In Bologna, it seems, you live really well. It is also the university city par excellence and not surprisingly first in the ranking of the best Italian university cities.
Two beautiful firsts for “La Dotta”. A lively city rich in culture, it offers entertainment for all tastes. Its center is alive, sparkling, stimulating and full of activity. What can I say
Great job! We only need to hope that Bologna will continue on this path.
