As mentioned, the Balkans represent a new battleground between mega players, like the Mediterranean where the energy dossier guides skirmishes and alliances. This is demonstrated by the frenetic military activity in those waters (and in those skies): the next step will be exceptional, ie for the first time the British aircraft carrier “Queen Elizabeth” and the French “Charles de Gaulle” will work together. A joint exercise will be held next June also in order to flex their muscles to those who, like Turkey, intend to continue their moral suasion on the Balkans from those latitudes.
