We are very used to seeing newborn puppies of animals such as dogs or cats, but the truth is that you have probably never seen the cute images that we are going to show today in Mascotissimas.
They are fragile and small and even some of them have a different appearance from newborn to adult. We warn that these images are so tender that they will soften your heart.
Tender images about newborn animals
Crocodile
Crocodiles usually lay an average of between 40 and 50 eggs. When their young are born they can measure between 25 and 30 centimeters, although as adults they can measure up to 4 meters. Although it has one of the strongest bites in the animal kingdom and can destroy a person, the truth is that the babies are very adorable.
Armadillo
They are animals that can be seen in South America. The newborn armadillos are in an advanced state of development, despite being very small and weighing between 50 and 150 g, they are born with their eyes fully open and with well-formed soft shells that harden with age.
Hamster
Perhaps of all this list it is the best known of all, but there is no doubt that the image of a newborn hamster is touching. Dwarf hamsters have between 3 and 6 offspring and Syrians between 7 and 11, but litters of up to 20 are known.
Chinchilla
The chinchilla is an endemic animal of the southern half of the Andes. The genus Chinchilla groups two species and a domestic variety, created by crossing the wild ones, apart from the domestic variety. The chinchilla has a gestation period of 111 days. A female can have two births a year and give between two and four offspring each time.
Kangaroo
At birth the little kangaroo is very small, on average no more than 2 cm tall and weighing about 800 milligrams. The baby kangaroo will remain in the bag for approximately 8 months, but for another 6 months it will go periodically to the pouch to continue feeding.
Echidna
The short-beaked or Australian echidna is a monotreme mammalian species. It is one of the four living species of echidna and the only one of the genus Tachyglossus. The newborn lives in the bag for about two months. The baby licks the milk that comes from special hairs on the mother’s body. The young echidnas become independent once they have fur and spines and can feed themselves.
Sea urchin
This image is completely adorable because since they are born they already have small spines even though they are not fully formed. In fact, they are born blind and with very little mobility, with closed ear canals and almost no hair. They are very fragile! The first days are essential for the hedgehog to begin to develop correctly and to reach its adult stage.
