The edition of the Copa del Rey for the 2021/2022 season starts with the draw for the first round . The 112 teams from different categories of Spanish football already know their rivals. First, Second, First and Second, Third RFEF and Regional were represented in the draw, which has matched the lower category teams against the higher ones .
Not all clubs are in the First Division yet, since Madrid, Atleti, Barca and Athletic Club are exempt from playing the first two rounds for participating in the Super Cup and will join the Copa del Rey in the round of 32.
The qualifiers are played in a single match and in the field of the club of lower category, as in all rounds until the semifinals. The matches are played on November 30 and December 1 and 2 .

When is the first round of the Copa del Rey
played
The first round is played on November 30 and December 1 and 2, always in the field of the lower category club. If both teams belong to the same (it can happen with the First RFEF) the ball that comes out first will mark the club that will be local.
