The conspiracy theory according to which the outgoing US President Donald Trump would have been the victim of an international electoral fraud involving, among others, the former Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and the defense giant Leonardo continues to reserve surprises. And buffaloes. So much so that even UsaToday has started to investigate the story by dismantling, with a thorough fact checking, the theory fed by the same circles that praise the civil war in the United States against the elected president Joe Biden . THE PRESUMED AFFIDAVIT
In recent days an affidavit by Arturo D’Elia had appearedin which the former employee of Leonardo, arrested in recent weeks for the espionage case against the same company, allegedly admitted his participation in the electoral fraud to favor Biden. In the last few hours a video has popped up – uploaded to the BitChute platform, frequented by the ultra-right US conspiracy galaxy (after the ban from YouTube InfoWars has transferred its contents there) – of the lawyer Alfio D’Urso, who presents himself as D’Elia’s lawyer and confirms (by reading a statement in macaronic English) what is contained in that affidavit. The video “has an unexplained cut 40 seconds from the start,” Paolo Attivissimo noted on his blog . Which highlights another oddity: the affidavit “strangely lacks the house number of the firm, and it is bizarre that a lawyer should commit such an omission in such an important legal document”. But other elements raise doubts around this theory. The lawyer D’Urso (from Catania) does not appear in D’Elia’s defense board, according to the Naples prosecutor who is investigating Leonardo’s former employee. Which, again according to the theory of ItalyGate, would have operated in the last six months by collaborating in the conspiracy: in this case, times do not return, since the man has no longer worked for Leonardo since the beginning of 2018. “GEOGRAPHICAL” FALLS
As for the investigation against him, it should be remembered that the attack would have occurred through a newly engineered Trojan, inoculated into computers through USB pendrives, for almost two years, between May 2015 and January 2017 and stealing 10 gigabytes of data and information (classified as having significant corporate value) to the aerostructures and aircraft division of Pomigliano d’Arco of the well-known company active in the defense sector and to have then hidden the gravity of the facts. And even under the “geographic” aspect something is not right: the lawyer D’Urso mentions the Pescara site, when in reality D’Elia was working in Pomigliano D’arco. Furthermore, the lawyer adds that his “client” would also have operated through the Fucino Space Center. However, Pescara and Fucino are two centers of different companies – Pescara and Leonardo, while Fucino and Telespazio (which is a subsidiary) – and are technically segregated. Furthermore, Leonardo has no military satellites, only civilians. Thus some questions emerge about the #ItalyDidIt theory. Among the “documents” of ItalyGate (also distributed with the hashtag #ConteComeClean) there is also an audio of the Trumpian Maria Strollo Zack , leader of the Nations in Action organization. And the same audio that General Claudio Graziano brings up, president of the European Military Committee, presented as a “member of the board” of Leonardo (another falsehood: there is none on that board). According to Zack, “Italian intelligence has provided us with documents, phone calls and photos of the CIA agents involved”. The incongruity, in this case, is that if Zack was right then Renzi (who would be one of the directors of the operation) could prove that Giuseppe Conte would have provided sensitive elements to American intelligence outside the criteria of cooperation between the two countries.
