The Generalitat Valenciana will ask the Superior Court of Justice of the Community for the endorsement to apply the Covid passport in hotel and restaurant establishments with a capacity of more than 50 people , as well as in entertainment venues, casinos and bingo halls with a restaurant service, and visits to hospitals and residences.
In addition, it will be required for events, celebrations and music festivals where a mask cannot be worn at all times, as announced this Thursday by the President of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig , after the meeting of the Interdepartmental for Prevention and Action against Covid. -19 in which it has agreed to request this measure.
If the TSJCV authorizes it, as the Generalitat hopes, understanding that it is “proportional, necessary and urgent”, the idea is that it enters into force at the end of next week , around December 3, and is in force during 30 days , a period during which no restrictions are planned, unless the situation requires a review of the current measures.
Where will it be required
The Covid passport will be required in the Valencian Community inside establishments with the highest risk of contagion and in centers with vulnerable populations, such as: Hotel and restaurant
premiseswith a capacity of more than 50 people. Although it had been thought to apply it throughout the hotel industry, Puig has indicated that strict compliance with this measure is difficult in premises where there is only one worker. However, she has asked these small establishments to be more demanding and responsible for users so that the use of the mask is complied with at all times except when consuming.
