In the summer it all seems pretty easy when it comes to drying freshly washed clothes; in winter, however, this simple daily action could turn out to be a real nightmare for more than one reason, but there is enemy number one that is difficult to fight and that we have all faced at least once in our life: the ‘humidity. Do not lose heart, however, it is the right solution: there are some really effective methods to dry clothes quickly even inside an apartment, some technological or to buy in the supermarket, while others are the classic grandmother’s remedies that, yes you know, they often save from the most complicated situations. How to dry clothes at home
With the arrival of winter, the nightmare of drying clothes also comes. In summer everything seems easier , and indeed it is: just place the drying rack outdoors and in a short time you will have dry and above all fragrant clothes. Yes, because the biggest problem of winter is without a doubt the humidity that removes all the perfume of the softener and replaces it with a not too pleasant smell.
Someone takes advantage of the glimmers of sunshine even in winter to leave the drying rack with clothes on their balcony, while someone else refuses to leave it outdoors and leaves it at home where, however, there is always the problem of humidity and being closed. On the other hand, there are those who have no choice because they do not have a balcony and are forced to keep wet clothes at home to dry them, and this can become a real nightmare especially because the process is not fast and it is possible to have to keep the clothes get wet indoors for a long time. For this, however, there are some effective methods: all the tricks to dry clothes quickly at home. Where to place the drying rack at home and how to hang clothes
The first thing to check, when we hang the clothes, and if we have chosen the right part of the house. Not all rooms, in fact, could have the same drying result as regards the timing: the most convenient thing to do is to leave the drying rack in the room where the most air circulates, without ever leaving the door closed because it would create the phantom humidity. In addition, the preparation of the clothes is fundamental: folding the clothes on the drying rack, and therefore without leaving them well stretched and open, will undoubtedly slow down the process. Furthermore, you must not “load” the drying rack too much: the less clothes there will be on it, the more space they will have to dry without overlapping each other. Use a dehumidifier or heat sources
A dehumidifier could be an effective solution to keep humidity from taking over when drying clothes at home. It will not totally solve the problem, but it could prove to be an excellent ally for the occasion.
Otherwise, an advantageous technique is to place the clothes near heat sources such as radiators or air conditioners, in fact there are also drying racks created specifically to be hooked to the radiator: this will greatly speed up the drying process of your clothes. Spin and dryer
To definitively eliminate the problem of clothes to be dried at home, surely the best remedy would be to have a washer dryer, in order to have dry clothes directly after washing. This, however, is not an appliance that everyone has, so there is another method that could be adopted to speed up the drying process of clothes: the double spin . After finishing the washing machine cycle, only the spin phase will need to be restarted a second time, which will squeeze the clothes further. This, however, is not a recommended method for all types of garments: if they are too delicate, in fact, they could be damaged. Using rice to remove moisture
Among the “ grandmother’s remedies“, There is certainly that of rice. This trick won’t be useful for drying clothes quickly, but it’s definitely a great move to combat moisture. You have to put some rice in paper or cloth bags, and leave them in the room where the drying rack is reserved. Thanks to the large amount of starch that the rice contains, a good part of the humidity given by the wet clothes will be eliminated.
