The Salone del Mobile in Milan in this edition seems to be tinged with green, not only in a metaphorical way: we see the echo turning point of one of the most important events of the Milanese calendar. The green turning point of the Salone del Mobile
To start off on the right foot, with a view to avoiding waste of material, the Supersalone will not produce brochures or paper information materials , but will exploit the digital potential to the maximum, even allowing you to view products. exhibitions and to participate in live streaming of live talks. Support for the Forestami project
The Salone del Mobile donated 200 trees to Forestami, partly placed at the entrance of Porta Est, and partly instead positioned inside the pavilions, which will then be replanted in the Parco Nord Milano: a concrete way to help expand a lung green city.

To build the structures of the event, priority was given to rental and reusein order to avoid as much material waste as possible, as well as reducing the use of support structures to the essential. In addition, all the materials and components of the set-up use a small quantity of chipboard panels, obtained with 100% recycled wood, which will then be reinserted into the production cycle in a circular perspective : they will thus be 553,500 kilograms of CO2 not released into the atmosphere thanks to their recovery.
Another interesting aspect of this ecological show is that everything is designed to be disassembled and subsequently reused: the outfitting systems will be completely recovered. The lounge areas, benches and seats are mounted “dry” and therefore can be dismantled and can also be used again in different moments and contexts.
Even the bricks and canvases of the exhibition have been designed to be reused. The first are Ytong blocks in autoclaved aerated concrete. Modular, locally sourced, they are part of a system: once the installation has been dismantled, they will be fully returned to the production cycle. Some of the sheets, on the other hand, will not be printed or colored so that they can be reused more easily.

The companies participating this year in the supersalone are very oriented towards recycling, reuse, the artisan tradition: all with a view to comparing Italy and the rest of the world, to find the most innovative solutions. Circular yarns
Giovanardi, for example, presents Raytent: the first pre-consumer recycled acrylic yarn dyed in the mass. This material, derived from the production waste of awnings, is ReMade in Italy certified: a beautiful circular economy project.
Textile-themed, Ra.Da. presented Reviva, a brand of fabrics made entirely in Italy, created from the recycling of post-consumer plastic bottles, which, with a mechanical process unique in the world, are transformed into yarn and then into textile collections.

Pedrali, a company already attentive to production sustainability, presented its first collections completely made of a new recycled plastic material , made up of 50% post-consumer plastic waste and for 50% from industrial plastic waste, used for the creation of green version seats. Symbiosis with green
Aran cucine presents original kitchens designed by Stefano Boeri, in which the plant is incorporated into the project, with the idea of bringing together architecture and green elements in a natural and symbiotic way.
