Not for nothing, in 2015 the beach was classified among the ten most beautiful beaches not only in Italy, but in all of Europe by Tripadvisor users.
The beauty of the place, however, has meant that over the years the fame of Cavoli grew more and more so as to make it today one of the most popular bathing sites on the island: if, on the one hand, this means a large concentration of young people and entertainment. of various kinds (music, bars, shops), on the other hand it means thatthe beach is very crowded in high season and you will have to wake up very early to find a free hole. Among the most famous beaches of the Tuscan Maremma, Cala Violina undoubtedly ranks first in the ranking. The fine sand of quartz granules and the exceptional color of the sea at any time of the year have made it a very popular destination for seaside tourism, halfway between Follonica and Punta Ala.
The peculiarity of the place lies precisely in the presence of quartz grains which, if rubbed together, give rise to a sound that recalls that of the violin strings when they are plucked: this is a very rare phenomenon and only verified in a few other parts of the world (including Brazil and Australia) and which gave its name to the cove.
The beach has a limited number and can be accessed by booking online at a cost of € 1.00. In summer, there is a kiosk to buy sandwiches and cold drinks.

13 – Collelungo Beach, Maremma Park
Another beach in Tuscany with a very “wild” aspect is the Collelungo Beach. Located a few kilometers further south than Marina di Alberese, it is a very large and semi-deserted seaside resort even in high season. The peculiarity of the place lies in the beautiful sand dunes present, embellished by the classic Maremma vegetation: the place is highly recommended for those who love uncontaminated sites, where it is possible to stay in close contact with nature (when the influx of people is more low, it is even possible to glimpse some fox lying in the sun or other wild animals). Obviously, the utmost respect for the surrounding environment and for the atmosphere of tranquility that characterizes the place is required … If you dream of entertainment on the beaches of Ibiza, this place is not ideal at all!

It is a bathing area much loved by both residents and tourists (without, for this reason, being overcrowded) since in the vicinity there are many respectable hotel services and facilities, moreover the whole area is of great naturalistic and scientific interest: the pine forest is the home of many animal species (fallow deer, foxes, wild boars, badgers, weasels, plus many species of migratory birds) and plants (pines, cork oaks, holm oaks, lilies).

In addition to the largest island of Elba, the other Tuscan island that makes the heart beat faster for its naturalistic sceneries and breathtaking beaches and the Isola del Giglio, an island that has recently been inhabited of 1,400 inhabitants. The islet is a concentration of beaches and coves that alternate one after the other and you will soon realize it along the panoramic asphalt road that goes around the entire perimeter (think how nice it is to rent a scooter and turn the island on the road admiring the changing scenarios). Among these, the Spiaggia delle Cannelle stands out: a splendid beach of white granite and very fine sand, lapped by a crystalline sea. small strip of land located just beyond the Island of Elba, the Island of Pianosa is a heavenly place, easily reachable by ferry from the main ports of the nearby Elba Island. Due to its small size and the presence mostly of jagged coasts, the only bathing beach of the whole islet is Cala Giovanna, a small beach with a strong Caribbean flavor. Located near the town and the old port, it is a very popular destination for young couples but also for scuba divers and snorkelers, who have always been attracted by the beauty of the seabed.
