Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them ended with the capture of the mighty Dark Wizard Gellert Grindelwald, with the help of Newt Scamander. True to his threats, Grindelwald manages to escape; he begins to gather followers, largely unaware of his true purpose: to bring the pureblood mages to power and subdue all nonmagical beings. Filmed at the Warner Bros studios in Leavesden, where filming of the previous Harry Potter films for a decade, Fantastic Beasts, was done. The Crimes of Grindelwald is the second film in the series written by JK Rowling and directed by David Yates, director of the first Fantastic Beasts film, who also shot the last four Harry Potter films.
