Today between wafers and crazy I bring you an entry in the Books section. I’ll tell you what I thought of the last books I’ve read.
A few weeks ago I was telling you about the books I had yet to read on Facebook. Don’t you follow me on Facebook ? Give a like here!
Well, I’ve already read them and I’m going to tell you about them.
First of all, I’m talking about The Kingdom of Levana , which was the only one of the six that I couldn’t finish. When I read the plot I found it very interesting…
In the current time, Inspector Alexander Foxley is violent and dangerous and his psychiatrist insists that he would benefit from a stay in a mental institution, the last chance he has is Dr. Gisela Schaefer, but everything changes when he discovers that he is a Ketheran warrior. and Gisela a priestess, seventh daughter of the Goddess Levana…
An attractive story, the ones I like, fantasy, supernatural beings, time travel, unreal worlds, etc… But as it progresses, the story becomes slow, boring and very bland. When I don’t have anything interesting to read, I’ll try to finish it…
If I had to give the award for Worst Book of the Year, without a doubt it would go to Private Property , book 1 of the Reapers MC series … The worst thing I’ve ever read, macho, sexist, very unpleasant… And the truth is that the story it is original and interesting, but as it develops it falls apart, becoming a demeaning read from my point of view as a woman…
The author tells us about biker clubs, which are a world apart, with their own laws and independent of the rules outside the club, with very macho ideologies, women are mere objects of property and their only objective is to keep the facilities clean. , feed the “males” and be beautiful hostesses who receive visitors and accompany their men… well… pathetic…
Since 50 shades of Gray BSDM became very fashionable, the Dominant/Submissive vibe has been the sexual fantasy of many people, but this does not mean that it is something that is applied in real life and on a day-to-day basis, they are very different things that you have to know how to distinguish and separate fantasy from reality. This is something that publishers should keep in mind…
I don’t know if biker clubs will have these ideologies in real life, I hope not, but the saddest part of all this is that there are women who like this type of reading…
The Book of Bards is the 9th book in Lena Valenti’s Vanir Saga . A very addictive series full of interesting and very intense stories.
Action, raw emotions, blood, tears and sex are the ingredients of a story in which immortal beings are created by the gods to protect humans from an evil that is to come… Each of them has a written destiny that will be united to his life partner…
The first and second of the saga, specifically The Book of Jade and The Book of the Priestess are incredible, they made me have a great time.
As the series progresses and the following books come out, the stories become very repetitive and start to get boring, but The Book of Bards has surprised me, it’s a breath of fresh air, in this story two couples are the protagonists and the plot turns around them, there is no time to get bored, each chapter has something interesting to tell, a lot of action and the story ends up giving way to the long-awaited final book…
Ragnarök has come, the final fight is here…
From action and immortal beings to real life, Around Your Skin is a very emotional story where a ballet dancer falls in love with a very jealous and possessive rock singer. We will live in the first person how is the day to day of a woman with a partner who harasses her psychologically. Beautiful story full of feelings and many emotions…
The Archangel of Light is a novel that promised but has simply remained an entertaining read. A story that I like, the very bad guy falls in love with someone forbidden, a very addictive and interesting beginning but when his identity is discovered the story begins to falter. The author should have delved deeper into the story and given more character and seriousness to the protagonist, the truth is that she deserves the role. Not bad, as I mentioned at the beginning, an entertaining read…
We return to real life with The escort , a story in which a retired bodyguard is forced to accept a job, being the escort of the daughter of a famous businessman. Rumors of a kidnapping run through the slums and what at first is an obligation becomes a necessity. Choosing between duty or feelings becomes a very difficult task. Another entertaining read to have a good time.
…
And these are the latest books I’ve read and my opinion about them. If I had to recommend one to you, without a doubt, it would be Around your skin , the Vanir Saga , at least the first two, and for a quick and enjoyable read, The Archangel of Light is a good option. What I do ask of you and I am clear is that you do not waste money with Private Property …
