3 – Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta

7 – Fountain in Piazza del Popolo

Built in 1588 at the behest of Francesco Maria II della Rovere, it is one of the most important places in the whole city . 9 – Rocca Costanza

Built in 1400 on a previous fortification of the Malatesta family, Rocca Costanza was erected in pure military style given its purpose of defending the city from external incursions. Commissioned by Costanzo Sforza, who commissioned it to the architect Luciano Laurana, it was then enlarged by Cesare Borgia in 1500. During its history, the fortress was also the seat of the city prison .

10 – Synagogue
The Sephardi Synagogue, originating from the Spanish cult of the sixteenth century, still retains its original decorations and conformation today . On the ground floor it is still possible to see the oven used for baking unleavened bread, the well and the tub for the purification baths. The upper floor, on the other hand, is the seat of the Prayer Room, with stucco decorations and rose windows made of oak, a tribute made to the Della Rovere family, who allowed the Jewish community to find shelter in the city.
