Ayrton Senna was a great Formula 1 driver and even today, 24 years after his death, the memory is always alive in everyone’s heart and mind.
He has certainly not been forgotten by the Brazilians who have always esteemed him as a driver and as a man. He drove Brazil to the top of the engines and his death shocked the whole world.
Born in Sao Paulo , the Carioca driver is about to be honored by Corinthians , a team from his city and of which he was a fan . The club presented the third jersey for this season, entirely dedicated to the Formula 1 champion, in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the first World Cup victory of the circus, in 1988 .

The colors of the jersey are black and gold, colors of the historic Lotus 97T driven by the green-gold driver in the ’85 season , with which he won the first Grand Prix at Estoril in Portugal .
In addition to the color of the car, the shirt has two other references of the famous Senna: his signature on the chest and 41 gold stripes , each referring to the driver’s victories in Formula 1 . Also inside, behind the neck, an inscription in capital letters #SENNASEMPRE , while on the shorts the word ETERNO.
The idea for this shirt was born from Nike , technical sponsor of the Brazilian club, and the Ayrton Senna Institute .
It certainly wasn’t the first time that Corinthians wanted to pay homage to the former driver. In 2014 the players entered the field wearing Senna’s famous yellow helmet, on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of his death at the Imola racetrack .

Raheem Sterling, 24-year-old Manchester City striker, Jamaican naturalized English, takes a stand against racism in football, a problem described as “profound” and “far from being solved” in the manifesto published by the Times on Tuesday 23 April: and he himself to propose some solutions to combat this still pervasive phenomenon.
It seems crazy that in 2019 there is still a need to write an editorial in a newspaper to ask for radical changes for a sport I love. But I do it because the problem of racism in football is serious, deep and still far from being solved
The Manchester City player has become a reference figure in the fight against racism after being victimized on several occasions of insults and his is a strong and tough proposal: he asks aloud 9 penalty points from the club and three matches at goal closed in case of racist insults .
. @ sterling7 explains why he signed @thetimes’ anti-racism manifesto, calling for more BAME people to run the game, harsher punishments for racist fans and players, a stronger stance from social media and media and sponsors to take action https: // t.co/nGMp3IQ1MH
– Times Sport (@TimesSport) April 23, 2019
Having more and more BAME people (black, Asian and ethnic minorities) in leadership positions in clubs and governing bodies, ensures more consistent and adequate penalties for racist and discriminatory behavior, with an action plan for education as part of the sanctions , do not punish players if they leave the ground when they are victims of racism, seek sponsors to fund anti-racism programs and encourage the media to take responsibility for racism responsibilities
