Thursday the Wall Street Journal reported four new suspected cases of “Havana syndrome”, the malaise – of which very little is known – which in the last five years has affected hundreds of American officials in Cuba, South America, Europe and Asia.
The list of disorders caused by the syndrome includes headaches, nausea, balance problems and memory lapses. The causes are not clear, but US intelligence speculates that electromagnetic waves are at the root of the malaise, directed towards the consular buildings in Washington around the world via unidentified devices. And consequently they fear that an agreement between Washington and Moscow could jeopardize American dominance over Europe.

From a strategic point of view, says Fabbri, who left Limes a few days ago, the United States would agree to open up to Russia and exploit it against China: “just like Kissinger did, making a bank with China against the USSR. But that’s not going to happen today, unless China gets to put the United States with its back to the wall. Otherwise, America will continue to keep two enemies ”.
