Before you start cleaning or polishing the wooden furniture, a preliminary phase is necessary to eliminate the most superficial traces of dirt, ie dust. Therefore, rely on a wool or microfiber cloth to carry out this type of operation on a daily basis. We then move on to the actual cleaning phase. This operation must be carried out a couple of times a week with specific products for wood , such as spray waxes or non-aggressive degreasers. After dusting, apply a thin layer of wax or turpentine with a swab and let it dry for about half an hour. Then pass a soft cloth to polish. The movements are always circular in order to obtain a homogeneous result . With waxes, the surface of the furniture becomes smooth and above all waterproof.
If you have varnished or lacquered wood furniture you can also opt for an antistatic product , so as to prevent dust and dirt from reforming. Three or four times a year it is good to dedicate yourself to a deeper cleaning. After dusting, we therefore recommend passing a layer of solid wax over the entire surface. Let it rest for at least half a day and then remove it with a soft-bristled brush using circular movements. Be careful not to choose too hard bristles: they could scratch the surface of your furniture. For a perfect result, polish everything with a dry woolen cloth . How to clean wood with natural remedies
