Big Brother Vip 6 is giving us many funny moments, but also intense and exciting episodes. Just like what happened in the last few hours in the most watched house in Italy, which saw an unprecedented Ainett Stephens as protagonist . The Venezuelan model, whom we met as Black Cat in the Il Mercante in Fiera program, wanted to share with her roommates a touching letter about autism and the difficulties of living alongside this silent companion. The touching letter that moved everyone
“Hello everyone, nice to meet you. My name is autism ”, thus begins the letter that Ainett Stephens shared with his fellow adventurers. It looked like a lunch like any other, yet an apparently banal moment has turned into an opportunity to get to know the beautiful model more closely. Ainett has never been over the top nor at the center of attention inside the House – except for the only controversy that has seen her protagonist – and perhaps also for this reason she ended up in nomination again.
So the letter continues:
My name is autism, I live in Christopher and many other children. For those who do not know me I inform you that I am not a disease , but a disorder that basically creates a communication problem in children. I am a shadow in every child’s lifethat I decide to strike, even if each of them suffers me in different ways and with different characteristics. If I am in a good mood I can be mild, but if I am stubborn very serious.
The pages in trembling hands, the voice breaking . Ainett told with simplicity and great intensity how difficult it can be to live with autism. Ainett and the story of his son Christopher
Ainett Stephens and a beautiful woman, this is evident. But often when we watch celebrities on the small screen, we forget that they too are human beings, just like us. People with their difficulties, their frailties, their lives. Ainett is not only appearance, but also a mother in love with her child, little Christopher, born from the marriage with Nicola Radici and who from the age of two received a diagnosis that no parent can be ready for: autism spectrum disorder. Ainett spoke with an open heart about her experience as a mother and how autism affected and forever changed her life, that of her beloved husband and child:
When Christopher’s parents discovered that I was their life partner. son were devastated because they would have to learn to live with an unwanted guest who would never leave their existence again, creating many difficulties and obstaclesto little Christopher. (…) And so the days went by, one after the other, and Christopher’s parents came to terms with each other and learned to live with me.
The showgirl then went on to talk about how parents of children with the autism spectrum are sometimes forced to leave their jobs to follow a child who needs special attention. And how long and exhausting the rehabilitation process is, necessary to improve at a cognitive and motor level, so that autism does not hit “like a hurricane on their children, making them regress and sink more and more into stereotypies”. Ainett’s important message
With heart in hand and tears in eyes, Ainett Stephens moved everyone. In a few minutes of live broadcast he made tangible the fears and fears of a mother aware of how complicated she will be for her little one, even a beautiful experience like the first year of school. But the answer to the fear that one’s child may be discriminated against, made fun of, treated as a “different” is knowledge, the only one that can dispel our fears:
The children I accompany are different, but good and sensitive. Because being different is neither a shame nor a fault. Much less a choice. (…) I would like to address all those who do not know me to say that it is your duty as citizens to know me better and talk about me to your children and friends (…) so that people understand that I do not make the children that belong to me bad or aggressive .
Inclusion in society and a life worth living for one’s child are not such absurd requests, yet there is still a long way to go. And that is why words like those of Ainett Stephens are what it takes, even in the context of a simple reality show. Because in the hustle and bustle of nonsense and discussions of the same consistency as nothing, you have to stop and think that the really important things in life are other. Building a better world, doing the right thing. All for love.
