For the Monaco Grand Prix, Leclerc’s Ferrari does not start and the Monegasque driver passes from pole position to retirement and, therefore, from stars to stalls.
On 27 April 1975 in the Montjuic Grand Prix marked by the death of four spectators and the subsequent interruption, Lella Lombardi obtained an official half point
A daring, unpredictable and even dangerous Gp. Under the flood, 10 retired. Physicist’s victory was recognized only later

They defined him as ice , not inclined to convey feelings, following a classic German stereotype of a man in one piece. After all, Michael Schumacherhe talked on the track, with victories, overtaking, aggressive contacts.
In his long and dominant career in Formula 1 , the former Ferrari driver only a few times expressed his most personal, private feelings. It happened in 2000, at the end of the Monza Grand Prix , a race that will remain sadly known for the daring accidents that occurred at the beginning of the track that caused the death of race commissioner Paolo Gislimberti, hit in the chest and face by a wheel and a suspension piece detached from Frentzen’s Jordan. In Monza, however, Schumacher
‘s overbearing comeback in the fight for the world title is celebrated. When there were only four circuits left at the end of the season, the Ferrari driver, in fact, completed the so-calledGrand Slam achieving victory, pole position and fastest lap. It was the charge, the extra gear, to arrive, at the end of the year, in front of everyone: Schumi, in fact, after a series of retirements and second places, won four in a row , keeping behind rivals Mika Hakkinen and David Coultard .
At the end of the race, during the conference with the usual questions, the fans discovered the human side of Schumi. A reporter asked him:
Michael, you have achieved Ayrton Senna’s 41 victories, it means a lot to you
The Teutonic glacial melted, managing only to say “It means a lot to me …” , then lowering his head, hiding behind the red hat ,letting go in a long, sincere and spontaneous cry. The important combination of Brazilian talent, a majestic individual goal, as many as 41 victories, touched the chords of the German driver’s feelings. Hakkinen, sincere, friend and rival of honor, I console him by leaning my arm, in a conference that becomes surreal, everything became spontaneous and genuine and nobody wanted to ruin that magical moment .
Schumacher’s heart, seen so many times on the track, is shown that time to the whole world. Without helmet.
A difficult scene to comment on: in the fight for the third / fourth position, the German and the Monegasque driver meet. Flat tires and both out
Champion in 2008 with McLaren and in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019 with Mercedes, the British driver has all the numbers to match the German
Charles Leclerc won the Italian GP and brought a Ferrari back to the top step of the podium in Monza 9 years after the last time. The Monegasque triumphed at the end of a very tense race, in which he had to keep the wild Mercedes of Bottas and Hamilton at bay , respectively 2nd and 3rd at the finish. Race thrown out by Sebastian Vettel , who ended up in the lead at the start, was penalized and then finished 13th.
Fasting is over. After giving the first seasonal success to the Rossa in Spa,Charles also brought back the most coveted victory in Maranello, the one in the home GP, which was missing from Alonso’s 2010 triumph . He did it at the end of a heart-pounding battle with the Mercedes , first that of Hamilton , then that of Bottas , who arrived in the final with much fresher tires than the two rivals. As in Belgium, the Monegasque was phenomenal in resisting the pressure , despite a couple of mistakes (and a couple of admonitions from the commissioners), which caused the heart to rise in the throat of the red tide of the racetrack.
In the end, however, the fans were able to cheer. All this despite Sebastian Vettel’s nightmare Sunday . German ended up inspin (alone) to the Ascari variant, while he was in 4th place and was pushing to try to grab the Mercedes couple. He ended up in the gravel, and then suddenly returned to the track, hitting the Racing Point of an innocent Stroll . A rather dangerous maneuver, which also cost him an inevitable penalty: 10 seconds of stop and go . Final result: a 13th place that hurts him and all the Red fans. Yet another mess for a driver who now seems to be a shadow of himself .
