It is a fraction of the municipality of Syracuse located on the east coast of the island, a stone’s throw from Noto and renowned for being one of the most popular seaside resorts.

How to get there
Getting to Fontane Bianche beach is quite simple. It can be reached either by public transport (the hamlet of Fontane Bianche has its own railway station) or by car. Here you will find useful information about it.
On the train:
- From Syracuse : trains towards Avola, Noto, Pozzallo, Modica, Ragusa also stop at Fontane Bianche. The regional 12836 Rosolini is also available (does not make stops). Distance 16.7 km, travel time 20-40 minutes.
- From Catania : take 3855 Siracusa and then change to 12836 Rosolini. Distance 95.9 km, travel time 2 hours.
In car:
- From Syracuse : take the SS15 or the E 45. Distance 16.7 Km, travel time 24 minutes – Get directions
- From Catania : take the SS114 and continue on the E 45. Distance 95.9 km, travel time 1 hour – Get directions
By bus / coach:
- From Syracuse : via lines 21 (Station-Fontane Bianche-Cassibile) and 22 (Station-Cassibile-Fontane Bianche). Buses leave from Via Rubino, Piazza della Stazione. For timetables and intermediate stops visit this site. Journey time at least 42 minutes.
- From Catania : go to Syracuse by Interbus (from € 6.00 – 1 hour by road) and then use the urban transport (lines 21/22) to reach Fontane Bianche. Those arriving from Catania-Fontanarossa Airport (via Interbus from € 6.00 – 45 minutes by road) can get off at the intermediate stop of Corso Gelone and cross one of the passing urban buses, or arrive at the station and wait there for the departure of a bus or a train.
