The last sales round of the week at the Liniers Market took place today with an entry of 9,657 cattle, which completed an offer of 25,566 heads since Tuesday and 116,650 animals for the whole month.
In the auctions, buyers competed for special lots, mainly steers, which had a share of less than 10% of the offer, while interest was lower for general farms and prices showed some declines.
Compared to Wednesday, the General Index fell 0.56%, going from 106.564 to 105.968 pesos per kilo, while the Novillo Index rose 2.27%, after varying from 110.150 to 112.653 pesos. In the weekly balance, both indicators gained 2.34 and 4.44% compared to the records of the previous Friday, of 103,547 and 107,859 pesos, respectively.
Among the best records assigned to light farms, the following stood out: in young bulls, $123 with 326 kilos, $120 with 357, 364 and 420 kg, and $119 with 381 and 412 kg, and in heifers, $120 with 325 kg, $115 with 371 kg and $110 with 406 kilos.
With 769 heads sold, the steers had a share of 8.04% in the total marketed and were transferred up to a maximum of $118, which was assigned to three batches that weighed 460, 492 and 498 kilos on average. It was followed by $117 for 4 batches from 446 to 480 kg, $116 with 445 and 468 kg, and $113 with 533 kg. For the best cows, $110 was paid with 445 kg, $109 with 530 kg and $108 for 4 flocks that weighed from 452 to 493 kilos.
The General Market Index of Liniers SA was $105,968, while the general average weight was 429 kilos. The Novillo Index of the Liniers Market stood at $112,653 with a weekly average of $111,120. While the general price of Mercados al Día was $112,653 and the weekly average was $111,169. The suggested value for leases was $113,258.
