Which to choose: Fiji’s most beautiful
islands Of the more than 320 islands that make up the archipelago, only 116 are inhabited . The two main islands are Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. In the first there are the capital Suva and Nadi airport. The second is the favorite for diving and trekking and the most important centers are Labasa and Savusavu.
Two particularly well-known archipelagos should also be mentioned, namely the Mamanuca Islands (coveted for honeymoons) and the Yasawa Islands(volcanic, wild and authentic). Among the most famous Mamanuca Islands we mention: Castaway, Tokoriki, Malolo, Malolo Lailai, Kadavulailai, Beachcomer, Matamanoa, Mana, Treasure and Yanuya. Among the Yasawa Islands we have instead Nanuya Levu (also called Turtle Island), Nanuya Lailai, Waya, Waya Lailai, Kuata, Naviti, Tavewa, Nacula, Yaqeta and Yasawa.
Below is a selection of the 10 most beautiful Fiji Islands in our opinion.
1 – Waya
Photo of miguel sanchez. Waya is a volcanic island south of the Yasawa archipelago . Its interior is mountainous and wild, here are the most spectacular and highest peaks of the Yasawa, with over 500 meters in height.
The coast, on the other hand, alternates between long sandy beaches and rocky promontories. Along the north part of the west coast is the most beautiful beach, where the Octupus Resort is located.
In Waya you can go trekking climbing the peaks and snorkeling , where you can admire the colorful coral reef. Not to be missed is the excursion to Ghost Hill , a huge rock that hides numerous caves.

2 – Malolo
Malolo is a volcanic island located in the Mamanuca archipelago. The interior of the island is rocky, the various resorts present are built along the coast; on the eastern side there are two small villages, namely Yaro and Solevu.
In addition to white beaches, coconut palms, wild nature and crystal clear sea, the island of Malolo is famous because, at sunset, the sun seems to settle behind the profile of the island .
In mythology it was, in fact, the place created by the gods to let the sun rest.

3 – Nanuya Levu (Turtle Island)
Private beaches, pristine waters, incredible marine life, romance and a myriad of activities to choose from: Turtle Island (Yasawa Islands) is one of the most peaceful places on the planet.
Its characteristic is that of being an all-inclusive private island which 14 couples can access at a time , since 14 are the villas that host each of them, with an adjoining beach for private use. I would say that you can leave all worries behind and let yourself be pampered by this heavenly place! Also, the 1980 movie ” Blue Lagoon
” was filmed here . Links
