Spring time and children home from school … what better occasion to have fun all together in a simple and easy DIY that involves adults and children and let you spend an afternoon in joy among colors, brushes and flowers.
So here are three different ideas to make very nice flower pots from simple bottles for drinks and from jars of preserves.
Easy, fast and really within everyone’s reach, even those who have little manual skills and familiarity with this kind of thing, these three do-it-yourselfers in one will be a way to create mini decorative vases very quickly and with little. Needed
– a sheet of common brown paper packet that avoids getting dirty with paints
– colors for coloring glass and ceramic (to be chosen in nuances in the shades you prefer)
– 2 flat-tipped brushes of different sizes, a larger one for coloring and a smaller one for finishing
– a 10 ml syringe without needle
– a jar for preserves
– sandpaper of medium / fine weight
– glass bottles of various sizes (recoverable from fruit juices and soft drinks such as Coca Cola …)
– paper scotch 20/30 mm wide First esepio: surprise color
The first of the three “creative experiments” should be done using bottles that have a relief decoration on the outside or a label that you want to keep – in the example 25 cl bottles of Coca Cola were used -. Clean the bottles well inside, taking care to completely eliminate any residual drinks or water, then, having chosen the color, slowly aspirate it with the syringe, without the needle, filling it completely. Insert the spout of the syringe inside the neck of the bottle and, very slowly, put the color inside, taking care to rotate the bottle as the color runs down the walls. Repeat the operation until all the internal walls are perfectly colored. At this point, turn the bottles upside down and place them upside down in a sink to remove excess color. Leave to dry, always upside down, for about half a day, then clean the upper edge of any excess color.Secondo esempio: mille righe
The second “creative experiment” is perhaps the funniest of the three. We start by “bandaging” the bottle with paper tape in order to create bands, horizontal or vertical as desired. These will allow you to color the glass only in the part free from the paper tape so as to create an original and fun game of colored lines and transparencies. Once you have chosen the color, start coloring the free part with the larger flat-tipped brush without being afraid to touch the tape. Depending on the color used (hue and coverage), evaluate whether to give two or three coats, then let it dry in the shade for at least half a day. Only when the paint is perfectly dry remove the scotch tape gently, if in theTerzo esempio: barattoli vintage
The third and last “creative experiment”, very easy to replicate, transforms simple jars for preserves into real flower vases. Start by washing and cleaning the external surface of the jars well and removing any labels and / or traces of glue, then, having chosen the color, with the larger flat-tipped brush start coloring by spreading the paint well from top to bottom and always in the same verse. Also in this case, depending on the shade chosen, give at least a couple of coats and let the color dry well, in the shade and for at least half a day. Once the coloring operation is finished, if the jar, as in this case, has relief decorations or writings, gently scratch the relief part with sandpaper to give the vase a slightly delabre effect, but without exaggerating too much. Dust off the excess color, and the third flower pot is ready which, being a jar, can also be used as a nice object holder.Mono flower bottles
And here are the nice single flower bottles. The advice is to complete them either with single medium-sized flowers or with at most a couple of small flowers that balance well and compose to the bottle in question, in this case white gypsophila and carnations of colored poets were used, perfect because they give a nice “ball effect” that gives fullness.
Colorful and fun differently colored bottles and jars will be simply perfect for enriching and embellishing shelves, shelves and window sills, but they will also be perfect for creating different centerpieces made of unusual and delicious little flower stitches. Very easy to do, and very inexpensive, they will be a way to bring originality to the table and make the youngest budding artists feel.
