Raised in Parma, the central Davide Grassi , originally from Montecchio, has had football experiences abroad since he was very young up to the current number of 15 different teams for a total of 10 different nations.
Now he is in Greece and plays in the Greek Super League in Kerkyra , a club on the island of Corfu. But between Malaysia, Scotland, Slovenia, Romania, Germany, Spain etc… he has some foreign experiences. [/ Vc_column_text] [/ vc_column] [/ vc_row]

How is the current season progressing in Greece in Kerkyra
The season continues, it is certainly not an easy year but we are trying to do our best to reach salvation, a very important goal.

You have had the opportunity to shoot in various football leagues in Cyprus too! At what level is the Cypriot one
The championship in Cyprus is growing in level thanks to the teams that have qualified for the Europa League and Champions League groups.

You intend to do other experiences in other countries and in other leagues
As long as the body allows me and the teams will continue to look for me, why not! Even if my priority is to return to play in Italy. I’d like to prove my worth there too!

You have had the opportunity to tread various playgrounds in the world. Where do you have the best memory
The best memories, as I have always said, are linked to Scotland, where I left part of my heart!

And the lesser one
The least beautiful certainly in Bucharest. With the Rapid it was not a great adventure and I would hardly go back.

How did you manage to settle in all the teams
The first few years were not easy. However, if you behave well and are a nice person, that always pays off. Obviously, with the passing of the years and with the acquisition of more experience, everything becomes easier.

You also got to play in Malaysia, you think their football is still a long way off
Yes. I think it is still very young football, very far from other realities. for them it is more a business than anything else. Even if my experience was very nice because it put me in comparison with very different cultures from ours.

Did you have the opportunity to meet other Italians on the team
No, never on the team, but as an opponent, yes. I met Manuel Pascali in Scotland when he was playing for Kilmarnock.

You would recommend experiences abroad to other players
Sure! They are good experiences, then in Scotland with Aberdeen it was something great. The Scots live for football and I was blown away by their character. But I would like to try to have another experience in Italy because it is an unfinished business. When, after an injury, all the doors were closed to me in Parma, I rolled up my heats and chose to go elsewhere.

You have some nice anecdotes
An anecdote that remained in my heart and when after 3 days from signing with Aberdeen I took the field and after 20 seconds with an elbow I broke my cheekbone in 3 places: jaw and eye socket. I was operated on and when I wake up I find my mother (wax had left Italy) and about twenty fans. After 3 months off the fields, the game against Rangers arrives. For the doctors I was still at risk, but I went on the bench anyway. During the warm-up the control unit hurts and so it is my turn to switch to the owner.
I go to the locker room and put on the protective mask in the Aberdeen colors. I go out of the tunnel and see that the whole Aberdeen grandstand, over 15 thousand people, were wearing the same paper mask I gave them outside the stadium before the game. A unique and goosebumps emotion!
