A 33-year-old man remains in the Virgen del Rocio Hospital with multiple injuries after receiving a brutal beating in a Burguillos nightclub. The aggressors were angry with the victim, who was beaten numerous times in the head and face. The young man became unconscious and was taken in a white van to the Alcala del Rio health center, where they threw him on the ground and left.
The attack occurred in the early hours of October 12. The victim is a resident of La Algaba who went to a Burguillos nightclub that night. The young man assures that he did not have any previous discussion and does not know the reasons why he was attacked in such a brutal way. Everything indicates that he was hit in the head with a glass door, which broke and multiple glass fragments were stuck in his face. Later, he could have been thrown to the ground and kicked several times by his assailants. According to the information in the hands of the victim’s family, there were several attackers.
The authors of the beating left the young man with his face completely destroyed. He had a sunken skull and several fractures to his nose, cheekbones, mouth and eyes. The victim’s family assures that the aggressors were angry with the young man, with the intention of killing him, since all the blows were to the head and he only has minor injuries, such as erosions from having fallen to the ground, in other parts of the body. He was also injured in an arm that he used as a shield to try to stop the blow with the door.
After becoming unconscious, someone put the victim in a white van and took her to the Alcala del Rio outpatient clinic. They left her there around five in the morning on October 12. The young man was treated at the health center and, seeing the seriousness of the injuries, the transfer by ambulance to the Virgen Macarena Hospital was organized. From there, he later went to the Virgen del Rocio, where he could not undergo surgery to rebuild his face until a week later, when the swelling on his face had subsided.
He is currently progressing favorably, but remains hospitalized. He cannot speak because his jaw is sealed and he continues to be in a lot of pain. The Civil Guard maintains an open investigation into these events, without the perpetrators of the attack having been arrested for the time being. The investigation is led by the La Rinconada Judicial Police team.
