In fact, he has advanced that from April he will resume concerts in Colombia that could not be carried out due to the pandemic, and later hopes to tour Spain.
“I want to do a different concert, where I want to include songs that I haven’t sung for years, as a small tribute to all this of returning to the essence of the first albums,” he pointed out . to the stage and that they do not lower me even with hot water “.
In any case, for the artist the year that is ending is a “great moment” because after such difficult months, as he explained, he has been able to “reap the fruits” of all the work . “The last months of the year have given me the opportunity to dedicate myself to making an album that I really wanted to make”, he said at the presentation of his new work in the Madrid district of Moratalaz (Madrid), where the singer pointed out that it was the first time he went on stage, at the age of 15, and has described it as “the dream factory”.
‘Sanz’ is the singer’s nineteenth work and opens this Friday, December 10. “People must think I’m lazy when it comes to naming it to things, but this is the product of deep reflection,” he ironized.
The new album also includes a tribute to Paco de Lucia with the song ‘La Rosa’ . As he revealed, a friend of the guitarist called him from Cancun (Mexico) assuring that he had a song by Paco de Lucia saved on his hard drive: “He sent me the chorus that was played and sung by him, and to be able to finish that song and rescue it With the meaning that he wanted to give it, being able to finish it was a challenge because the only thing he thought about was if he was going to like it,” he said.
“In pajamas and on a slow fire”
Asked what he has most enjoyed in the creative process of ‘Sanz’, he has stated that “perhaps what he has most enjoyed is doing it in pajamas , but above all having time to dedicate it, being able to do it on fire slow”.
“I learned one thing when ‘Corazon partio’ was ready to be mixed. I had been pointing out for several weeks that the song wasn’t the way I wanted, I didn’t feel like it had the soul that the demo song had, it was very difficult because a lot had been put into it. money and many hours. It was about to mix and at that moment I decided that the song could not come out like that, and it was one of the best decisions I made in my life , “he revealed.
